We can all be identified thru them. DNA testing can also be done if we want to know more about our genes, our history in terms of our family and others, our biogeographical ancestry which is recommended more on the living than on the dead. It is so successful that DNA Testing has established paternity so many times and it is binding that it can be used in court as evidence.

It does not take much to do DNA testing. All you need is a cotton swab and take a sample of your dna by scraping the inside of your cheek. It is not painful because cotton swabs are soft. Anyways, these cotton swabs can now be mailed to a genetics laboratory for the test.

As of this date, DNA testing cannot still give medical information on the determination of genetic diseases or genetic disorders. Although some have professed otherwise, it is somewhat still controversial. Therefore, not yet reliable.
