Shorten The Immigration Process With DNA
Testing
Many people don't realize this but DNA testing is a
requirement for relatives of a US citizen that wish to enter
the United States to live permanently.
This is a relatively new requirement that makes it much
easier to prove people are legally related to a US citizen.
It's quite a bit more expensive than your average birth
certificate or other documents. The cheaper places to get this
done will cost around $400 or so.
This is a requirement because if you don't go through all
the legal means of entering a country, you can't legally reside
there permanently. You could get a visa or green card but those
are temporary and limit your citizenship. You will need to get
a DNA test for yourself if you are related to someone in the
country and want to live there. This also needs to be done if
you leave the country and have children and later wish them to
be citizens. This is a new process but is much more reliable
than older methods.
This sounds like a complicated process but it really isn't.
There are many different types of testing facilities available
to you and you can even complete this online. It is more
expensive online as you will have to be sent a kit and once you
obtain a sample, you will have to send it back and then wait
for the results. This is really only a good option if you are
very busy and don't have the time to go to the nearest testing
facility or if you live far from a major city. There is more to
this process however, you will need a witness and might have to
research the laws for the country you are going to move to.
This is easily aided by family who is in that country and they
can handle a lot of the leg work for you and get you all the
information you need easily.
Once you complete this process you may be required to take a
citizenship test depending on the country. This test is very
hard and you will need to dedicate a long time to studying and
reviewing all the material available.
This entire process, though not vary difficult, can take
many weeks or even months to complete successfully. It all
depends on the country, laws, and requirements. Many people
will experience little hassle at all. If you can afford it, an
immigration lawyer can make thing much easier and less
stressful for everyone involved but can be expensive. Decide
the best course of action and stick with it.
Once you or your family has done the DNA requirements (if
needed) and passed citizenship testing (if needed) a life in
your new country as a citizen awaits. You will be given all
rights as everyone else and also be subject to the same
taxation and other laws. It's easy to get the hang of a new
country if you have family and friends who can help you
out.
